Financial Assistance

Finances should not prevent any child from attending Atlanta Classical Academy or participating in extracurriculars, sports, or field trips. We are committed to providing every Atlanta Classical Academy student with a high-quality educational experience without regard to financial circumstances.

We aim to provide financial assistance to all those who qualify in two separate ways: through our own Financial Aid program, and by participating in the Georgia Department of Education’s Free and Reduced Lunch (FRL) program.

Please note that because of Federal requirements, families must apply for each program (Financial Aid and FRL) separately.

Financial Aid

We are committed to providing every Atlanta Classical Academy student with a high-quality educational experience. Finances should not prevent any child from attending ACA or participating in extracurriculars, sports, or field trips.

The completion of the financial aid application is not a binding agreement that any assistance will be granted. Due to the possibility of financial changes in a household throughout the year, financial aid applications will be evaluated on an ongoing basis. Application processing time will vary based on volume and applicant response rate. Benefits will not begin until after the application is approved; benefits are not retroactive. Financial aid is available to both new and returning students. Only one financial aid form per household needs to be completed each year. Households must reapply for financial aid each year; an award in one year does not guarantee financial aid will be awarded in succeeding years.

Benefits

Should a household qualify for financial aid, all currently-enrolled students in the household will receive the following benefits:

  • Assistance with uniform costs
  • Assistance with fees for extracurricular activities, including athletics, clubs, select school supplies, and field trips

Verification

Supporting documentation will be requested to verify eligibility for financial aid. All requested verification forms and documentation must be submitted to Atlanta Classical Academy before an application will be considered.

Free & Reduced Lunch

ACA is proud to partner with the Georgia Department of Education by participating in its Free and Reduced Lunch (FRL) program. Eligibility for FRL is determined by the USDA Food and Nutrition Services income eligibility guidelines for the current school year. These eligibility guidelines are based on the Federal Poverty Guidelines and are stated each year by household size and gross income. Completing the FRL application is not a binding agreement that any assistance will be granted. Due to the possibility of financial changes in a household throughout the year, FRL applications will be evaluated on an ongoing basis. Should you experience financial change, please submit a new FRL application. FRL is available to all students; only one application per household needs to be completed each year. Households must reapply for FRL each year; an award in one year does not imply benefits will be awarded in succeeding years.

Benefits

Should a household qualify for FRL, all students in the household currently enrolled at ACA will receive school lunch at no cost or at a reduced cost, based on state-provided eligibility and
