Visual Arts Electives
Middle School (Grades 7-8)
Our 7th and 8th-grade art electives provide opportunities for students to explore mediums that are not covered in the curriculum and allow for a deeper dive into techniques required to grow as an artist. 8th-grade students can opt to take the first section of the high school art studio track. To do this, students must submit an application and interview with the high school studio teacher.
High School (Grades 9-12)
The elective track for 9th-12th grade students follows a progression that will guide students in deeping their knowledge of both historic and modern techniques as well as the different mediums that have been used. The art studio electives are designed for students who have a love for art and want to develop their skills further. These electives are important for students who plan to pursue art in college.
In conjunction with our electives and applied program, we have developed the Visual Arts Scholar Program (VASP). Stay tuned for more information about this exciting new program!
