Tryout Schedule
2026-2027 Sports Registration and Tryouts
Registration: Winter 2026 Sports
All student-athletes must complete the two steps below to try out for any sport at Atlanta Classical Academy. Students will not be permitted to participate in tryouts if both steps are not completed by the listed deadlines.
Step 1: Register on MyPaymentsPlus
Create or log into your account on MyPaymentsPlus to receive tryout updates and important information.
Step 2: Complete PRIVIT Requirements
Upload a current GHSA physical and complete all forms through PRIVIT by the deadline for your sport.
Note: No hard copies will be accepted. Access the GHSA physical form here.
** IMPORTANT INFO: Please be advised that a mandatory GHSA and MAAC PRIVIT reset will take place on Friday, May 29. After this date, all parents of student-athletes planning to participate in athletics starting in the fall of 2026-2027 school year will need to log into PRIVIT and ensure that all required forms are completed and signed. Please also verify that your student’s physical is current and up-to-date.
Important: Physicals that expire during the season must be renewed within seven days of the expiration date. Athletes without a current physical will be removed from practices and games.

High School Sports – Winter 2026
High School Girls Basketball - Girls (grades 9-12)
- Tryout dates: Monday, October 19 and Tuesday, October 20
- Location: ACA Gym
- Time: 3:45-5:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 19 and 4-6:00 p.m. on October 20
- Deadline to register: Friday, October 16*
- Privit deadline: Friday, October 16
*Students who do not register by the deadline will not be eligible to tryout.
High School Boys Basketball - Boys (grades 9-12)
- Tryout dates: Monday, October 26 and Tuesday, October 27
- Location: ACA Gym
- Time: 4-6:00 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 26, and 4-6:00 p.m. on October 27
- Deadline to register: Friday, October 23*
- Privit deadline: Friday, October 23
Rising 8th-grade boys who would like the opportunity to try out for JV may attend a one-day tryout on Tuesday, October 27. If they do not make the JV team, they will still be able to participate in middle school boys’ basketball tryouts.
*Students who do not register by the deadline will not be eligible to tryout.
Swimming - High School Boys and Girls (grades 9-12)
- Tryout date: Wednesday, October 7
- Location: Chastain Park
- Time: 3:45-4:45 p.m.
- Deadline to register: Friday, October 2*
- Privit deadline: Friday, October 2
This tryout is for high school students who are not actively participating in a fall ACA sport or in the Bye Bye Birdie musical.
*Students who do not register by the deadline will not be eligible to tryout.
Swimming Make-Up Tryout - Middle School and High School
- Make-up tryout date: Monday, October 26
- Location: Chastain Park
- Time: 3:45-4:45 p.m.
- Deadline to register: Friday, October 2*
- Privit deadline: Friday, October 2
This make-up tryout is only for students who were actively participating in a fall ACA sport or in the Bye Bye Birdie musical during the days of the original tryout.
*Students who do not register by the deadline will not be eligible to tryout.
Wrestling Club (grades 7-12)
- Dates: October 19- Jan 22 (Mondays & Fridays)
- Deadline to Register: Friday, October 16
- Privit Deadline: Friday, October 16
- Practices will be on Monday
and Fridays from 4:00-5:30 pm., and will take place at Buckhead Jiu-Jitsu (2144 Hills Ave NW, Atlanta, GA 30318). Parents must pick up their athletes at the Jiu-Jitsu gym after practice.

- Tryout dates: Wednesday, October 21 and Thursday, October 22 (Friday, October 23 if needed as an alternate date- will be communicated if needed)

- Time: October 21, 3:45-5:30 p.m.; October 22, 3:45-5:30 p.m.
