Club Sports
Club sports at Atlanta Classical Academy increase the available avenues of athletic involvement for students, faculty, parents and the community at large. They promote activity, interaction, and the opportunity to pursue, share, or discover a passion. This kind of pursuit is consistent with the philosophy of the Athletics Department. This policy assumes that Atlanta Classical Academy students would rather participate in a club sport that has some level of affiliation with the school versus involvement in the same activity without school affiliation.
The school has placed all sports sanctioned by the Georgia High School Association (GHSA) under the direction of the Atlanta Classical Academy Athletics Department. Therefore, those programs are funded by the school’s athletics budget. Club sports that fall outside of the GHSA umbrella are self-funded programs that have their operating costs built into a registration fee paid by each participant. This means that field space, uniforms, practice schedules, and games are managed by an ACA faculty sponsor and parent volunteer outside of the Athletics Department.
Club sports must have an advisor or coach employed by Atlanta Classical Academy. The club will be approved by the Athletics Department and school administration. The club sport advisor/coach will be the point of contact and source of all information regarding their program. No discounts will be offered for club sports.
Registration
In order to try out for any club sport at ACA, it is mandatory for all student athletes to complete registration through MyPaymentsPlus and pay the club sports fee. All forms must be completed on MyPaymentsPlus. If you have any questions or are in need of a payment plan, please email ACAathletics@atlantaclassical.org.
Forming New Club Sports
As of now, our official school sports offerings for the 2024-2025 seasons are set. However, you can submit your request to be considered as a sports club for the 2025-2026 school year. If you would like to submit your suggested sport to be considered for a club, please follow the below instructions. All sports club submissions must be made by January 15, 2025 for the 2025-2026 school year.
Submit the following details:
Find a Faculty or Staff member to sponsor and coach the club (note: this is fully facilitated outside of the Athletics Department). The faculty and staff sponsor will be responsible for:

Identifying field space and finding local schools to compete in matches where applicable. Working to purchase uniforms, communicate with parents, and organize practices and games via TeamSnap.

Setting the sports fee that will cover the cost of the club, this includes field cost, uniform cost, coach stipend, and league fee.
Once a faculty and staff sponsor has been identified and agreed to these responsibilities, please formally submit their name and club sport request to ACAathletics@atlantaclassical.org.
