College Counseling

“Every virtue causes its possessors to be in a good state and to perform their functions well. The virtue of the eyes, for instance, makes the eyes and their functioning excellent, because it makes us see well; similarly, the virtue of a horse makes the horse excellent, and thereby good at galloping, at carrying its rider, and at standing steady in the face of the enemy. If this is true in every case, the virtue of a human being will likewise be the state that makes a human being good and makes him perform his function well.”  - Aristotle, Nichomachean Ethics

Atlanta Classical Academy’s college advising team believes the college search process should be enriching and expansive, full of opportunities for personal discovery. The advising team strives to support each student and their families in individualized, tailored ways in order for the student to achieve their best college admission outcome.

College Preparation Timeline

Our small class sizes at ACA allow us to start the college counseling process as early as freshman year. Most of the robust college application work ramps up in junior year, but 9th and 10th graders will also have college counseling programs (and are always welcome to stop by our office with questions).

Meet The Team

Our team is thrilled to bring a combined 20+ years of college counseling and admission experience to the ACA community. We provide a holistic counseling program that aims to help students both identify their strengths and to find a place where they will flourish after ACA. We each strive to know the students well and divide up the college counseling work in a way that allows us to get to know the students and to support the full timeline of the application process.
